Volunteers Needed for JASO’s 2019 Shinnenkai

By admin

The JASO Shinnenkai, or New Year’s Party, is one of the signature events of the Japanese community in Portland. We are looking for volunteers to help work at this fun occasion! Volunteers will receive free access to the event and will be able to enjoy the food, drinks and guests as we gather to kick off the New Year. In return, we ask that you bus tables, assist with small tasks and generally help to keep the party running. Please join us to help welcome the Year of the Inoshishi, 2019!

Those interested in volunteering should email Matt Turner at: matthew.turner@se.mofa.go.jp.

Thank you and we hope to see you there!

The Portland Chapter of JETAA (The JET Program Alumni Association) was created to serve the bonds of friendship developed by the program participants. JETAA’s purpose is to achieve, through its activities, a broader and deeper understanding between Japan and the other countries participating in the program.
