Unit Souzou Taiko Performance – May 14th

By Webmaster

INSATIABLE is an exploration of the art form of taiko through contemporary reflections on Japanese folk dance. This evocative program immerses the audience in drumming, dance and voice. UNIT SOUZOU’s Director Michelle Fujii has delved into life’s eternal hungers and desires, reoccurring cycles and repetitions, and how these universal experiences and emotions impact all of us.  This theatrical full length dynamic work features high intensity taiko drumming, lyrical koto (13 stringed zither) playing and vivid dancing. 5 touring performers and 1 tech director make for a compact touring ensemble.

When: Thursday, May 14th at 7:30pm
Where: South Puget Sound Community College,
Cost: $10
