April Tabemashou! @ Yoko’s Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

By admin

Our first dinner of the new (JETAA) fiscal year kicks off at the grapevine-reviewed Yoko’s Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar.  Come join us for such local oddities as the Bat Man Roll, the Walla Walla Roll, and a lovely side of crispy-fried gyoza.

Q: I’ve never been on Tabemashou… what can I expect?
A: Good food and fun conversation.  We’re a bunch of former JETs and Friends of JET, so we often talk about Japan, of course!  The JETAA budget is $50 for each meal with the understanding that attendees pay for all amounts beyond that.  Last year, our most expensive per person bill was $12.50, but that can differ wildly depending on how many people come and how expensive the meal is.
Location: 2878 SE Gladstone St., Portland, OR 97202
Date & Time: April 26, 7pm

The Portland Chapter of JETAA (The JET Program Alumni Association) was created to serve the bonds of friendship developed by the program participants. JETAA’s purpose is to achieve, through its activities, a broader and deeper understanding between Japan and the other countries participating in the program.
