The Tabemashou! group gathers to explore, critique, and enjoy Japanese dining options in the Portland metro area. We typically order family style in order to sample menus extensively and casually critique the food, atmosphere, and value of each restaurant. If you love food as much as we do, come join us!

How it works: Typically we order family style and share dishes as a group, as this allows us to try as many menu items as possible. We may order betsu-betsu at restaurants that are more entree based or specialize in hard to share items (such as ramen). All beverages must be purchased individually.

What to bring: Tabemashou! is cash only! Be sure to bring enough cash to cover your meal.

The Portland Chapter of JETAA (The JET Program Alumni Association) was created to serve the bonds of friendship developed by the program participants. JETAA’s purpose is to achieve, through its activities, a broader and deeper understanding between Japan and the other countries participating in the program.
